Hi, I’m Ellie.

Born and raised in London, surrounded by a family of creatives. I originally trained as an actor so have always been storytelling in some capacity - but these days I tell them mostly through pictures.

I’m endlessly inspired by real-life moments — the strange, the charming, and the magic hidden in ordinary moments. My work is shaped by whimsical imagery, nature, quiet sparks of joy, trips to Japan, childlike curiosity, and my own lived experiences, all coming together in illustrations that feel playful, personal, and connected.

I primarily work in traditional, hand-drawn media, enjoying the tactile process, the playful experimentation, and the imperfect happy accidents that often appear along the way.

When I’m not building my picture book portfolio, you’ll usually find me teaching yoga or working part-time at one of London’s top animation studios, Studio AKA.

Fun Fact: I have Synesthesia - I see the months of the year in 3D in my minds eye, and associate colours with letters, numbers and feelings - It’s a thing!
